Summer Jobs in San Diego

Summer Jobs in San Diego

San Diego has some of the best weather and activities during the summer. Some of the great things to do can put a dent in the wallet, so what are some part-time summer jobs that give the flexibility to enjoy the warm weather and extra cash?

Here is a list of some jobs that we found around San Diego:

Fast Food and Retail

Joining the fast food and retail industry isn’t something new and is often part-time. At an entry-level, these jobs are typically minimum wage, lack benefits, and you don’t get to choose your own schedule.

However, you do not need much experience if any, and there are lots of places where you can apply.

Driving Gigs

During the pandemic, driving and delivery job positions became widely needed. With more options for at-home delivery services from groceries to products at local retailers, everyone is looking for quick same-day delivery drivers. You can also turn your car into its own taxi service and join the ride-share industry.

These jobs have a downside of putting wear and tear on your car and rising gas prices eating into tips. However, scheduling is more flexible and there are lots of opportunities.

Labor Gigs

Around San Diego, there are various labor projects you can get into for extra cash. Examples include appliance delivery, house painting, landscaping, home, and office cleaning, etc.

What you can earn will vary by what job duties you are performing. And the work schedule will vary by project. On the other hand, if you enjoy working outdoors and with your hands, this can be a great idea for you.

Become a Sperm Donor at San Diego Sperm Bank

Deciding to become a sperm donor is rewarding both financially and emotionally. Each qualifying donation is compensated. Donations can be given up to 3 times per week, with 48 hours of abstinence in between donations. Compensation works in 2 parts, first is $70 per qualifying donation. Then $30 after quarantine is complete (this would include STI testing 6 months after donation).

Additionally, donors have access to our doctor who will be giving regular physicals, STI testing, and other health screening. Donors also all receive a genetic carrier screening, which will include screening results for 502 genetic conditions, giving you a detailed insight into your own health.

Donors make a real difference in lives by providing a tissue donation that provides treatment for individuals and couples who cannot become parents otherwise.

The time spent during a donation is dependent on the donor, and donors make their own schedule making this a great way to earn extra income while maintaining free time for summer activities. Becoming a sperm donor provides benefits while allowing for an open and flexible schedule to enjoy the summer months in San Diego.
